Recently, KM Company provided on-site dynamic balance correction service for US Steel Mold Co., Ltd. In this service, we used KMbalancer II vibration analyzer and on-site dynamic balancer to ensure the stability and precision of the machine.

First of all, before arriving at the site, we have carried out sufficient maintenance, calibration and preparation of spare parts for the KMbalancer II vibration analyzer and on-site dynamic balancer to ensure that our instruments work accurately and reliably. Advantages of implementing on-site dynamic balance correction:

1. There is no need to disassemble the rotating parts, reducing the downtime, and the on-site online balance correction generally only takes about one hour.

2. The calibration can be performed at the actual working speed. Usually, after the rotating parts are disassembled, the calibration cannot be performed at the high speed when the calibration is performed under the balancing machine. However, the on-site dynamic balance calibration can correct the high speed of up to 300,000 rpm.

3. There are many factors that affect the balance, including the balance of all rotating components (impeller, shaft, coupling, key seat, etc.) and the installation clearance and deflection angle of the rotating parts. Therefore, direct online balancing can get better balancing results.

4. Sometimes the vibration of rotating equipment has nothing to do with the balance. Using the on-site dynamic balancer can immediately detect whether there is a problem of poor balance and avoid unnecessary balance correction.

5. Double-sided dynamic balance correction is different from single-plane correction. When the ratio of diameter to width of the rotating part is less than 2 times, double-plane correction may be required.
